Live vs. backtest — pick your priority

RAPTOR · EXTENDED earned the most in our live trading — that's why it's our recommended config. The 30-min configs show the cleanest backtest risk profile (highest PF, lowest drawdown, 30-of-30 months) and fire fewer trades — a calmer ride if you prefer it. More trades isn't automatically better; match the config to your style.

Running more than one config? Read this first

One config per account. Always. All the 30-min configs (TITAN · PRIME / TITAN · EXTENDED / TITAN · GOLDEN) fire the same signals in the same direction, just over different session windows. Put two on one account and they do not net or cancel, they stack into one oversized position. To run all three TITAN sessions, use three accounts at the same prop firm (e.g. three Lucid accounts) with one session enabled on each. Same for the 15-min RAPTOR configs. The one risk is mixing timeframes across separate accounts under your own name: a 30-min and a 15-min config can hold opposite MNQ positions at the same moment — long on one account, short on the other — which Topstep, Apex & most prop firms flag as hedging and can freeze or fail the accounts. To run a 30-min and a 15-min at the same time, separate them: a different prop firm per config, each under a different trader (e.g. a family member's account), or one at a time. Same timeframe at the same prop firm is fine, as long as every config has its own account. So TITAN on three accounts at one firm, and if you want RAPTOR too, three accounts at a second firm.

Automatic risk sizing + the MNQ Multiplier

Falcon now sizes every trade for you automatically — scaling position size down in fast, volatile conditions to protect your account. It's built in; nothing to set. To trade more contracts on a bigger account, use the MNQ Multiplier: leave it at 1 for standard size, or set 2 / 3 / 4… to scale up proportionally — same volatility protection at every level. Match it to your account; don't set it higher than you can comfortably handle. (MNQ only — other markets use the Contracts field.)

The live config uses a wider stop, a wider take-profit, and a higher confluence threshold than a naive backtest — fewer but cleaner setups, with room to survive real-broker slippage and tick noise. The exact values are baked into your script. Same edge — structured to survive a live broker.

Gold is a futures product — it runs through the same broker and the same webhook / native NinjaTrader path as your MNQ configs. No separate exchange, no new account. If MNQ is already auto-executing, Gold works the same way.

GOLD vs the MNQ configs

Different market, same engine. Gold (MGC) is uncorrelated to the Nasdaq — it moves on macro, inflation and geopolitics. It trades the GLOBEX session (around-the-clock, skipping only the low-liquidity hours) on the same TITAN 30-min engine — 30-minute only, never 15-minute, with the same ATR risk model. All confluence factors are scored identically.

Unlike MNQ (live-broker validated), the Gold config has not yet been validated on a live account. The +88.6% / 13-of-13-months backtest is strong, but apply a real-world haircut and trade demo/sim first before funding.

Getting Started

ADD FALCON AI ELITE TO NINJATRADER

Native hands-free auto-execution — Elite only. No webhook, no broker relay: NinjaTrader places and manages every trade itself. One piece goes on your chart — the ELITE strategy (shows signals, confirms your license, and does the trading). Under 5 minutes to set up.

Follow the screenshot walkthrough above to install the ELITE strategy. (On current builds there is no separate Visual indicator — the on-chart visuals are built into the strategy.) Then lock in these two settings before you go live:

Turn on REAL-TIME market data — delayed data = wrong/late signals

NinjaTrader's free feed is 10 minutes delayed. Falcon fires on live price, so on delayed data your charts and signals lag and trades fire late or not at all. You need a real-time CME Level 1 (top-of-book) market-data subscription at the non-professional rate: $4/month for CME alone (all you need for MNQ/NQ) or $12/month for the full CME-group bundle (CME · CBOT · NYMEX · COMEX). Level 1 is enough — don't pay for Level 2 depth.
Where to add it — depends on your platform:
• Apex on Rithmic (or your own NinjaTrader brokerage) → add a CME real-time Level 1 subscription on the NinjaTrader side and sign the non-professional data agreement.
• Apex on Tradovate → your data comes through Tradovate, so log into your Tradovate account and sign the non-professional market-data agreement there (a NinjaTrader-side subscription won't apply to a Tradovate feed). Not sure which you have? It's the platform you picked when you bought your Apex account — it can't be changed after.
⚠️ Most "still delayed even though I paid" cases = the non-professional data agreement isn't signed yet (that's a separate step from payment), or you need a full restart/reconnect for the new data to load.

Use the FRONT-month contract — this is the #1 cause of "it didn't take a trade"

Load the active front-month MNQ contract — the nearest-expiry quarter that's actually trading volume. NinjaTrader will sometimes default your chart to the back month (e.g. showing MNQ 09-26 while the live, liquid contract is still MNQ 06-26). A strategy order sent to the wrong contract can hang at order state "Initialized" and never fill — the signal fires on the chart but no trade reaches your broker. Fix: in the chart's instrument box pick the front-month MNQ, and make sure the indicator, strategy, and chart are all on the same contract. MNQ rolls every quarter — a few days before the 3rd Friday of Mar / Jun / Sep / Dec, switch to the next quarter. If a trade ever doesn't fire, check Control Center → Orders: an order stuck on "Initialized" or a back-month symbol means you're on the wrong contract.

Your PC must NEVER sleep — or run a 24/7 VPS (non-negotiable)

An automated strategy only protects your trade while NinjaTrader is running. If your PC sleeps, hibernates, or drops its connection, your stop loss is gone and any open position runs completely unprotected — that's how accounts blow overnight. No exceptions:
• Set Windows to never sleep — Settings → System → Power & battery → Screen & sleep → set both "Screen" and "Sleep" to Never. On a laptop, also set lid-close = Do nothing and keep it plugged in.
• Or run on a 24/7 VPS — a cloud PC that never sleeps and stays connected (the pro setup; fixes this permanently). We use and recommend VPSmart. Two things to get right when you order: take a plan that includes a dedicated IP (their entry Express plan uses a shared IP, meaning other traders reach your broker from the same address, and most prop firms treat matching activity from one IP as coordinated trading), and pick the US location closest to Chicago, since that is where CME matches orders. 8GB RAM and 4 cores is plenty for NinjaTrader.
Do not run a live automated account on a machine that sleeps. This applies to every Falcon config you run natively — RAPTOR, TITAN, and all of them.

Set it up once — never every morning

You configure Falcon AI one time: add the strategy, pick your account, save your workspace, and enable it. After that it's hands-off. If your PC restarts or NinjaTrader closes, you never reconfigure — just reopen NinjaTrader, reconnect, and click Enable (one click). NinjaTrader disables strategies on shutdown as a safety feature, so that single Enable is the entire restart routine. Keep NinjaTrader running (or on a 24/7 VPS) and even that goes away. Running several configs? Add each under Control Center → Strategies (one row per account) instead of many charts — lighter, and you can Enable All in a single click.

TradingView Backtest ≠ Reality

Do NOT judge Falcon AI by the TradingView Strategy Tester. We've validated that TV's bar magnifier under-represents wider-stop configs by ~50%. Our backtests show modest numbers because we're not tuning for the backtester — we're tuning for your broker account. The only test that matters is your live fills.

Average loser is larger than average winner. You'll lose on individual days. The edge resolves in your favor only over weeks and months. Don't judge by daily P&L — judge by the monthly chart.
